Assigned by the Illinois Supreme Court to the Fourth District Appellate Court in March 2018, filling the vacancy left by the death of Justice John P. Schmidt, and later elected to retain the seat. Previously a resident Circuit Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, appointed in 2008. Unanimously appointed Presiding Justice of the Fourth District effective February 29, 2024.
