State trial courts anywhere else are not watched yet. Most county portals sit behind a login, a CAPTCHA, a per-search fee or a ban on automated use, and none of those is worked around. The coverage page lists exactly what is and is not covered.
Names are matched the way a paralegal would match them: corporate designators like LLC and Inc. are ignored, "doing business as" names are split out, and a name that only matches the start of a longer one is flagged as probable rather than certain. Generic words on their own never match. Each alert names the filing, the court, the docket number and the name that matched, and links to the public record.
Alerts arrive by email, and in a Slack channel too if you connect one on your account page. The job runs at about 6:30 am and 5:30 pm Central. A failed email is retried on every run for a week. Every run, every alert and the time each was stored, matched and emailed are published on the alert log, so the loop can be checked rather than taken on faith.
